On-demand webinar: Understand the 2022 CPT code changes

COVID-19 drastically impacted the healthcare system, from the supply chain down to medical billing codes. As variants and multiple vaccines developed, new codes were needed to accurately track the virus and immunization programs. The American Medical Association (AMA) worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to develop 15 vaccine-specific codes, providing essential analytical advantages for vaccination and COVID-19 prevention efforts.

These COVID-19 vaccine and administration codes were among many changes made to the 2022 Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) code set released this past September. The new code set incorporates 405 editorial changes including 249 new codes, 63 deletions, and 93 revisions. As we’ve done every year for the past four years, Cotiviti is here to break down these changes in our upcoming webinar.

Watch our on-demand webinar as we highlight the most important changes and the impact on payer organizations. You’ll learn about:

  • Revisions to Evaluation and Management (E&M) guidelines
  • CMS Physician Payment changes
  • The continued expansion of Proprietary Laboratory Analyses (PLA) codes
  • Additions to Digital Medicine Services codes spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic
